Inara's Orange and Aqua dress

In honor of Shawna Trpcic's birthday, I give you a second post, highlighting one of my more favorite of Inara's Costumes.  The Orange and Aqua dress is seen in Shindig.  (Happy Birthday, Shawna!)

Shawna brought this costume to an event where she showcased it (with others).  Stephen Jacobs took this picture:



Maggie over at Costumer's Guide mentioned that the trim used on the top of this dress is also used on Susan's cloak in The Chronicles of Narnia, only the trim is in blue.  Awhile ago, you could even find the trim at Jo-Ann's stores, but it is no longer available, as far as I can tell.

    I believe Shawna also mentioned in the commentary for the dvd that this costume was inspired by a vintage 60's tunic dress
