The story behind this dress is great. Shawna Trpcic decided to use her wedding dress as part of this costume. So, on her website when showing the construction of the gown, she posted pictures from her wedding. The auction included some scraps leftover from the dress.
Also, I read somewhere that one of the seamstresses got the bodice turned upside down, so they had to make it work. The back looks the way it does (with the uneven V) because of this error.
